Remarks:  Only those who are over the age of 16 and have the right to reside or  stay in Macao can apply for the visiting permit.

Application Procedures and Documents:

Please apply the visiting permit in person and submit the following documents:

(Items 1 - 3 are mandatory, items 4 - 6 are optional depending on individual cases)

1.         Visiting Permit Application Form (Application Form is available online);

2.          Copy of valid identification document(s);

3.          Two 1½'' colour photos;

4.          Proof of applicant’s residential address (eg. Water bill, electricity bill);

5.          Copy of valid Non-resident Worker Card;

6.     Copy of Marriage Certificate

Note:  Visiting Permits are not required for inmates' children or siblings under 16, but they have to present valid identification documents(s) and to be accompanied by Visiting Permit holders or authorized visitors.

Fee:  Free

Processing Time:        Within 8 days (upon receipt of all necessary documents).

Note:  A temporary receipt will be prepared for the applicant (upon approval).  He/she should bring along the temporary receipt in exchange for the visiting permit at the Macao Prison – Registration Section or the Macao Prison Service and Information Centre after 8 working days.
